The Reform UK leader Claims Teachers of ‘Poisoning Our Kids’ on Race Issues

The political figure stated that teachers would go on strike within weeks a success at the polls for his party, charging that they are “poisoning our kids” by instructing children that African-Caribbean youth are oppressed and white children oppressors.

During an event for a private US Christian college, Farage outlined his viewpoint on British schools, stating that the “radical left-wing” had “taken over schooling”.

“I expect a teachers’ strike very quickly after winning the next general election,” he remarked in response to questions.

“They are poisoning our kids. They are telling them to be ashamed of their country. They inform an eight-year-old black child that he is oppressed and a white child of the same age that he is an oppressor. They are dividing us, instead of fostering unity. They promote this negative culture.”

In response to these assertions, Daniel Kebede dismissed the idea that the schools were under Marxist influence as “nonsense”. Kebede noted that any strikes must relate to teachers’ terms and conditions, and questioned whether the party would target these immediately upon entering government.

“Farage has built his public life on coded rhetoric and currently, like Trump, he is targeting educators and their organizations for a conflict,” Kebede stated.

“I think that’s grossly irresponsible. I don’t – and nor does my union – advocate such divisive theories as he claims … Should he become prime minister he would sell out our public services, including education … and he would be a disaster for students and learning.”

Reform, which tops surveys by about 10 points, has not set out much detail on a proposed education policy and seems not to have designated an education lead.

Nonetheless, Farage’s remarks indicated the party would overhaul the system and the curriculum. He said: “We face an enormous task with education – truly monumental. And, it won’t happen quickly; it will take us years, years to turn this around.”

He stated that gen Z was more open to analytical thought, but older youth were “completely lost”.

Paying tribute to a conservative activist, he commented: “All I want education to do to foster independent thought – to instruct people that there are two points of view and they should decide for themselves as opposed to what’s happening now where one is virtuous and one is evil. This is a huge undertaking in the UK and US.”

The party has conflicted with the UK’s largest teaching union, after the union leader labeled them “extremist and prejudiced” and described the leader as “a poundshop Donald Trump”.

The politician has charged the union head with being “a self-declared Marxist” … an individual intent that our children should be poisoned through education, their minds should be poisoned regarding national issues” and has argued that the organization seeks to brainwash teenagers against Reform.

Almost one million people are employed in education in the UK, with educators comprising half and the others teaching assistants and support staff. The major education union has about 450,000 members.

Countrywide walkouts over educators’ salaries and work environment in recent years led to significant interruptions in educational institutions and millions of days of lost learning for students.

At the US event, Farage also pledged to help spread the digital courses of the Christian college in the UK. He said such groups were “key to resistance”, noting: “I mean this. I’ll assist garner hundreds of thousands, if not millions of youth to your online courses. I make that commitment now and I will follow through.”

The institution, a small private Christian college, provides complimentary classes. According to its online description: “Comprehensive learning is vital for well-being and to perpetuate the blessings of civil and religious liberty. It offers these beautiful courses for no charge to every interested learner.”
