FC Barcelona Ready for Inaugural Fixture at Upgraded Camp Nou this Saturday
The club confirmed their first game will take place at the partially upgraded Camp Nou on Saturday. They will welcome the Bilbao team in domestic competition two and a half years following their departure so building work could begin.
“We’ve dreamed about the return. Now, it’s here. We’re back home. Back at Spotify Camp Nou.”
Attendance will be limited though over 45,000 attendees are permitted inside based on approved permits. Once fully finished, the stadium’s capacity will reach over 104,000 attendees, a rise from the old capacity. Barça announced recent additions comprise an updated entryway for the team along with upgraded changing facilities.
Recent Activities
The club conducted a fan-accessible workout inside the stadium in early November. The club said they were hoping for permission by UEFA to host the next European match against Eintracht Frankfurt on 9 December in the renovated venue. They have been hosting matches at Estadio OlĂmpic LluĂs Companys.
