Devoted fans of the actress are calling for that a individual who leaped a barricade and touched the actress during yesterday's Wicked: For Good premiere be arrested or expelled from Singapore.

A viral video shows the individual from Australia bypassing camera operators and lunging at Grande while the cast proceeded down a yellow carpet flanked by onlookers.

Cast member Cynthia Erivo promptly pulled the surprised performer away from Mr Wen, who was observed being escorted out of the event by event staff.

Mr Wen stated on Instagram Thursday evening that he was "released after being arrested", though legal records showed that he was scheduled to attend court on the following morning. It is not clear if he was faced legal action.

Pattern of Disruptions

This is not an isolated incident for Mr Wen, who describes himself as a "Troll Most Hated", has crashed a concert or event. His Instagram feed contains clips of him disrupting other high-profile occasions, including breaching the performance area at Katy Perry's Sydney concert in earlier this year and in a comparable manner during The Chainsmokers performance in the area last December.

"Steps should be implemented applied against him as this is evidently a punishable act," stated an Instagram user, in a reply to a video Mr Wen posted of his actions.

"You've done this repeatedly... how are you not behind bars?" a different Instagram user questioned.

Supporters Voice Worry Over the Star's Safety

Several fans blamed Mr Wen for "re-traumatising" Grande, who had discussed suffering from PTSD after a devastating incident at the end of her spring 2017 show in Manchester, killing 22 people and injuring many.

"The star has endured numerous terrifying experiences... including the Manchester tragedy, and you believed breaching security was amusing?" commented another comment on Instagram.

A number of attendees also questioned guards at the premiere for not being sufficiently alert; while others demanded digital services to remove Mr Wen's uploads.

Aftermath and Premiere Information

In videos shared widely, Grande appeared shocked when she was touched by the man. Her co-stars Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be observed comforting her while Mr Wen was removed by security.

Grande has not commented on the event, and the premiere activities continued without further issues.

Many of fans had congregated in a crowd of colorful attire at the Wicked: For Good Asia-Pacific launch in a Singapore shopping center, including several who had queued for as long as eight hours before it started.

The movie, to be premiered on November 21, is the second of a two-film adaptation of the well-known stage musical Wicked, which revolves around the unlikely relationship between two contrasting witches.

The musical itself is a derivative of the 1900 children's novel The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Grande, who acts as the character Glinda Glinda, was dressed in a champagne pink sequin dress at the gathering while Erivo, who plays the Elphaba, wore a black tube gown featuring roses.

They were alongside cast member Jeff Goldblum.

The initial film, Wicked, was the top-earning movie of 2024 in the UK, and earned 10 Academy Award nods, earning several for best costume and production design.
