The loved ones of teens missing after a devastating fire at a bar in a Swiss ski resort are confronting an excruciating period of uncertainty for answers and pleading for clues about their family members publicly.

The blaze devastated the a popular bar in the alpine resort, located in the mountains of south-west Switzerland, in the small hours of the first day of the year. Circulated video depict the ceiling igniting as bottles with sparklers are raised in celebration.

Authorities have indicated that it could take considerable time to formally name the those who perished of the disaster, which claimed the lives of 40 people and wounded another over a hundred. Officials said on Friday that 113 of the those hurt have been accounted for, with efforts ongoing to locate the remaining few.

Alice Kallergis, who holds dual Greek and Swiss citizenship but lives full-time in Switzerland, was also present on that night, according to sources.
